DH44W Flanged Cryogenic Check Valve Overview

The DH44W flanged cryogenic check valve is an automatic valve specially designed for ultra-low temperature service, featuring a flange connection and a swing-type structure. It is suitable for media such as liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, liquid hydrogen, liquid ammonia, and liquid ethylene. The valve body and critical components are made of LCB low-temperature carbon steel, CF8 stainless steel, or forged F304/F316L stainless steel. All parts undergo cryogenic pre-treatment to ensure low-temperature toughness and dimensional stability at -196°C. The valve opens and closes automatically by the flow of the medium itself: forward flow pushes the disc to swing open, while reverse flow applies pressure above the disc, automatically closing it to prevent backflow. This valve is widely used in LNG terminals, air separation units, cryogenic storage and transportation, and petrochemical low-temperature plants, serving as critical equipment for reliable backflow prevention under ultra-low temperature conditions.

1.  Cryogenic Treatment and Low-Temperature Materials: All parts undergo low-temperature pre-treatment using liquid nitrogen to prevent sealing deformation and leakage caused by temperature fluctuations during service. Strict control over chemical composition and low-temperature impact toughness ensures material stability at -196°C.

2.  Swing-Type Structure for Low Flow Resistance: Features a swing-type design where the disc rotates around a pivot shaft. The straight-through flow path results in low resistance to media flow. Suitable for both horizontal and vertical installation (with flow direction upward), offering strong installation adaptability.

3.  Flanged Connection for Easy Installation: Utilizes standard flange connections, making installation and disassembly more convenient. It allows efficient connection with various cryogenic equipment and pipelines, facilitating maintenance.

4.  Automatic Operation and Reliable Seal: Opens and closes the disc automatically by the flow of the medium itself, preventing backflow and protecting pumps and drive motors from reverse rotation. The sealing surfaces of the disc and seat are overlaid with hard alloy or utilize cryogenic-specific materials to ensure reliable sealing.

5.  Wide Range of Applications: Suitable for various cryogenic media including methane, ethane, propane, liquid ammonia, liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, LNG, carbon dioxide, and ethylene. Pressure ratings cover PN16-PN100 or Class150-Class900.
