Overview

The PQ40F manual eccentric hemispherical valve is a uniquely designed shut-off valve featuring intuitive operation. By manually rotating the handle or handwheel, the valve stem drives the eccentric hemispherical core to rotate approximately 90 degrees, enabling rapid on/off control of pipeline media. Its core innovation lies in the "eccentric" design—where the valve stem axis is pre-aligned with a offset from the hemispherical sealing surface. This configuration allows the hemispherical core to fully disengage from the valve seat during opening, eliminating friction, while the eccentric offset creates a wedge effect during closing to ensure airtight sealing. Particularly suited for demanding industrial applications, this valve excels in reliably cutting off slurries or gases containing solid particles such as mineral slurry, coal powder, and ash residues in sectors including power generation, metallurgy, mining, and chemical processing.

Feature

1. Excentric self-tightening seal: The valve features a unique single or double eccentric design. During closure, the eccentric hemispherical valve core presses against the seat in the final rotation phase through mechanical leverage, creating a self-tightening seal that tightens progressively. The sealing force increases with rising medium pressure, ensuring reliable shut-off.

2. Anti-wear and anti-scaling: When fully open, the hemispherical component completely disengages from the flow channel and retracts into the valve body, allowing direct medium flow without obstruction and preventing high-speed erosion of sealing surfaces. In closed position, its sharp edges scrape and remove sludge or deposits adhering to the valve seat, providing self-cleaning functionality that significantly extends service life in harsh media environments.

3. Manual operation is lightweight and reliable: The eccentric principle ensures instant disengagement between the hemispherical valve and seat during operation, dramatically reducing torque. With a simple 90-degree rotation, manual operation feels effortless and enables rapid opening/closing, providing a straightforward, dependable, and cost-effective control solution for applications without power or air supply.

4. Bidirectional sealing and flow characteristics: The meticulously designed sealing pair enables bidirectional sealing (both upstream and downstream), eliminating the need to consider the medium flow direction during installation. The straight-through flow channel achieves minimal flow resistance when fully open, functioning like a straight pipe to significantly reduce system pressure loss and deliver notable energy-saving benefits.

5. Economical and easy maintenance: The main sealing components (e.g., valve seats) are designed as detachable modules. When wear occurs on the sealing surfaces due to prolonged use, performance can be restored through simple compensation mechanisms or valve seat replacements, eliminating the need for complete valve replacement and keeping maintenance costs low.
