API Standard Cryogenic Globe Valve Overview
The API standard cryogenic globe valve is a specialized valve designed and manufactured in strict accordance with the American Petroleum Institute (API) standards. It is suitable for ultra-low temperature media such as liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquid oxygen, and liquid nitrogen. The valve body and key components are made of austenitic stainless steel (e.g., 304, 316) or low-temperature alloy steel (e.g., LCB, LCC) and undergo cryogenic treatment to ensure excellent toughness and mechanical properties at temperatures down to -196°C and below. The valve features an extended bonnet design, which effectively isolates the stuffing box and operating mechanism from the cryogenic media, preventing the packing from freezing. The sealing surfaces are typically overlaid with hard alloy or made of special cryogenic materials, and the valve opens and closes through the lifting of the disc. This valve complies with standards such as API 602 and API 600 and is widely used in LNG terminals, air separation units, cryogenic storage and transportation, and petrochemical low-temperature systems. It is a core device for reliable shut-off under ultra-low temperature conditions.

1. Compliance with Strict API Standards: Design, materials, manufacturing, and testing strictly follow API 600, API 602, and other specifications, ensuring valve reliability and interchangeability under low-temperature conditions.
2. Ultra-Low Temperature Materials and Cryogenic Treatment: Made of austenitic stainless steel or low-temperature steel, subjected to cryogenic treatment to eliminate residual austenite, effectively preventing low-temperature brittle fracture and ensuring material stability at -196°C.
3. Anti-Freezing Extended Bonnet Design: The extended bonnet structure effectively lengthens the cold conduction path, keeping the stuffing box in a higher temperature zone to prevent packing freezing and stem seizure.
4. Low-Temperature Resistant Hard Seal: The sealing surfaces of the disc and seat are overlaid with hard alloy or made of special low-temperature materials, resistant to low-temperature impact and erosion, ensuring reliable sealing under ultra-low temperature conditions.
5. Fire-Safe and Safety Structure: Typically complies with API 607 fire-safe standards. The stem features a blowout-proof design, and the packing uses special low-temperature materials, ensuring operational safety under extreme conditions.
