The JM742X Diaphragm Type Bottom Sludge Discharge Valve is a specialized valve designed for sludge discharge in sedimentation tanks, sewage tanks, and similar facilities. It operates by actuating the valve core through a diaphragm to achieve sludge discharge and cutoff at the tank bottom. The valve consists of components including the valve body, valve cover, diaphragm, valve core, valve stem, control chamber, and pneumatic/electrical control device.

Feature
1. Diaphragm Sealing Structure: A high-strength elastic rubber diaphragm is used to completely isolate the valve body flow passage from the valve cover drive mechanism. The controlled medium only contacts the diaphragm and the inner cavity of the valve body, achieving a sealing solution that is packing-free and has zero external leakage. This design is particularly suitable for hazardous media or applications where contamination must be prevented.
2. Streamlined Straight-Through Valve Body: The inner cavity of the valve body is smooth and unobstructed, forming an unimpeded flow path. This design minimizes resistance during medium flow and reduces the likelihood of turbulence, effectively preventing sludge or impurities from accumulating or becoming lodged within the valve, ensuring smooth discharge.
3. Dedicated Design for Tank/Pool Bottom Installation: The valve features a compact structure with a low overall height, specifically optimized for flange installation at the bottom of tanks or pools. The opening and closing stroke of the valve disc or clapper is designed to address the discharge characteristics of settled sludge, effectively breaking up bridging phenomena and enabling complete sludge removal.
4. Wear and Corrosion Resistance: The inner cavity of the valve body and the diaphragm in contact with the medium can be customized according to the medium's properties. Materials such as wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant rubber (e.g., NBR, EPDM) or linings can be selected, while key components may be made of stainless steel or copper alloy. This enhances the valve's service life in harsh operating conditions.
5. Versatile Actuation Methods: The valve is typically equipped with hydraulic, pneumatic, or electric actuation devices (the "7" in the model number often represents hydraulic actuation). Operation is controlled by applying or releasing pressure in the air/liquid chamber above the diaphragm. The valve's open/closed status is visually clear, and its quick opening/closing action facilitates remote automatic control.
