The core design concept is "one for use and one for standby" or alternative use. By configuring a conversion mechanism (such as three-way valve), the main safety valve can be manually switched to the standby safety valve when off-line verification or maintenance is required, so as to ensure that the protected system will never lose overpressure protection. The valve is especially suitable for critical situations where safety protection interruption is strictly prohibited by laws and regulations or process flow.
