The GRK tank wall manhole is a personnel access and inspection opening installed on the lower or middle sidewall of storage tanks. It features an elliptical or circular structure, with the flange welded directly to the tank shell. The manhole cover is equipped with a hinge, handwheels, and fastening devices, allowing quick opening when needed for operators to enter the tank for cleaning, inspection, maintenance, or replacement of internal equipment. Its core purpose is to provide a safe and convenient man-entry access for fixed roof tanks, floating roof tanks, and other large storage tanks in petroleum, chemical, and storage/transportation industries , while maintaining tight sealing after closure with gaskets and fasteners to prevent media leakage and ingress of external contaminants.
