Pressure/Vacuum Relief Valve

A breathing valve is a specialized safety accessory used for storage tanks (such as those for petroleum, chemical, food and other liquid storage tanks). Its core function is to automatically regulate the internal pressure of the tank, preventing deformation or damage caused by overpressure or vacuum. When the pressure inside the tank rises beyond the set value due to factors such as temperature changes or filling and unloading operations, the breathing valve automatically opens to release pressure (exhale). When the pressure drops to the negative set value, it automatically opens to inhale and replenish pressure, thereby maintaining the tank pressure within a safe range. At the same time, the breathing valve effectively reduces product evaporation loss and minimizes atmospheric pollution. Common types produced by Zhejiang Shanliu Valve Technology Co., Ltd. include all-weather breathing valves, explosion-proof flame arrester breathing valves, and recovery type with connection pipes. Materials can be selected from aluminum alloy, stainless steel, carbon steel, etc. These valves are widely used in petrochemicals, oil depots, chemical industries, and environmental protection fields.

Dual‑function integration – Combines breather valve and flame arrestor in one body, reducing roof penetrations, simplifying installation, and enhancing system reliability. 2. Independent dual‑disc system – Pressure disc and vacuum disc each have their own spring and sealing assembly, actuating precisely at set points without cross‑interference, eliminating misoperation risks. 3. Stable operation and tight sealing – Metal‑to‑metal hard seating ensures zero leakage when closed, with small differential between opening and reseating pressures for responsive action. 4. Superior environmental adaptability – Equipped with rain cover, dust screen, and drain holes to withstand rain, sandstorms, and intense sunlight, suitable for exposed tank farms. 5. Flexible corrosion‑resistant materials – Body options include aluminum alloy, carbon steel, or stainless steel; all internal wetted parts are stainless steel, compatible with oils, aromatics, alcohols, and acid/base media. 6. Low flow resistance – Rounded internal flow passages minimize pressure drop, maintaining stable tank pressure even under high‑rate breathing conditions. 7. Low maintenance – Flame arrestor element can be extracted without tools; disc assembly is quickly detachable for routine inspection and cleaning, requiring no special skills. 8. Full standard compliance – Designed and manufactured per SY/T 0511, ISO 16852, and GB 5908, with rigorous flame‑arresting performance testing prior to delivery.

The ZGB-III threaded flame arrester is a small-bore flame arrestor safety device with threaded connections, installed on flammable gas vent lines, instrument air piping, or small tank breather lines. It features an internal stainless steel corrugated plate flame arrestor element, utilizing the tiny gaps between the corrugated plates to quench flames, effectively preventing external flame propagation to upstream equipment or tanks. This flame arrester offers a compact structure and convenient installation. Its core purpose is to provide reliable flame arrestor protection for instrument vent systems, small storage tanks, gas pipeline branches, and laboratory gas lines, suitable for small-bore DN15 to DN50 pipelines requiring explosion-proof flame arresting.Product Drawing of ZGB-III threaded flame arresterFeatures:1. Threaded connections for easy installation: Standard female or male threads (such as NPT, G, M threads) allow direct screwing into pipeline or equipment ports without flange welding, ideal for small-bore piping. 2. Corrugated plate flame arrestor element: Alternately wound multi-layer stainless steel corrugated and flat strips form uniform narrow passages, providing high flame arresting efficiency with low pressure drop. 3. Bidirectional flame arresting: Capable of blocking flame propagation from either direction, suitable for small gas pipeline systems where combustion may initiate from either side. 4. Compact structure and light weight: Small size and light weight make it ideal for space-limited installations such as instrument cabinets, small tanks, or skid-mounted equipment. 5. Corrosion and high temperature resistance: Element and housing made of 304 or 316L stainless steel, resistant to corrosive gas environments and short-term high-temperature flame impact. 6. Easy maintenance: The flame arrestor element can be extracted from the housing for periodic cleaning of carbon deposits or impurities; threaded connections facilitate disassembly without special tools. 7. Code compliant: Designed and manufactured according to GB 5908, ISO 16852 and other standards, meeting fire and explosion protection requirements for small-bore flame arresters.
